I cannot recommend this hostel enough. Vy is the best host I've ever had. I met the most amazing people staying there, and the beach which is seconds away, is beautiful. The only thing I would say is that if you're a weird person who doesn't like animals (kittens puppies) then this place probably isn't for you. But for everyone else enjoy. My stay at Vy's Homestay was extremely pleasant. The weather was not the best but it is winter here in Vietnam. The trip into town is only 7km and after my first time into town it seemed only around the corner. The staff at Vy's (especially Vy) helped me with my stay in Hoi An and in my future plans to travel to other places in Vietnam. They helped me find a very good tailor in Hoi An City and I was able to get the clothes fitted just right, after all what is a visit to Hoi An without some tailoring. I took the train north to Phong Nah and will spend a few days here after the beach scene. Tam Biet. Xem tiếp

Vy’s a great place to chill for 5 days. The place is litterally a min walk from the beach and just 10 min away by bike from the city. Vy is an awesome person with a huge heart and a great cook too (I recommend the whole menu but more especially her stir fried veggies mix). A different facet of Hoi An that everyone should experience. Would definitely recommend it to a friend on a budget Pierre Xem tiếp

You don't book for Vy's but for Ha My Beach Homestay, which has nothing to do with the pictures!! Vy told me she doesn't do bookings on Agoda anymore. It is still ok, the owner always tried to be kind and organized anything we asked him for. You have to pay for the breakfast but the fruit salad was really good. The rooms were ok, not that clean but the AC and water heater were working well. You will need to rent a Moto (~120k/d) to go anywhere, but that's ok if you want to stay close to the beach. The beach there is quiet but maybe you go somewhere else to eat, we ordered Shrimps there and they were burned. The owner should add cold beer to his menu pretty fast, otherwise there won't be many Germans staying there for long.;) Xem tiếp

This review is for Ha My Beach Homestay. We originally thought we booked Ha My Seaside Homestay and it was not the case. Even the address Agoda provided was wrong. Thankfully the 2 places are very close together. Vy explained that Agoda has gotten the 2 listings confused and many people aren't at the right place. Truthfully I don't even know if this review is at the right posting. Either way, Ha My Beach Homestay was very pleasant. Very clean facility and room. We were able to push our bikes inside from the rain. They helped us unload our bags and took them to our rooms. When my bf injured his toe they rode to the convenient store in the rain to get him medicine and help him bandage it up. Working AC that gets the room cold in minutes and doesn't leak all over the room. Very convenient walkable distance to the beach. I don't think you can go wrong with either homestays if you won't up booking the wrong one. Xem tiếp

I was coming to the end of my holiday in Vietnam, and I wanted somewhere chilled that I can just lay around and have a dip in the sea with no fuss at all. And the sea is incrediblly warm and you can swim with the plankton. Part of the beach is owned by the 4 seasons, and there's a loose agreement that you can sit on their far, far cleaner patch. You'll want to wake up and watch the sunrise. Stunning. This place ticked all those boxes. The owner Vy, is a lovely lady how will do anything for you. Always happy to have a conversation. This is not a party hostel, by any stretch of the imagination, but you find it great to just hang out in. She has motorbikes and bicycles to rent if you want, and it's a lovely 20 odd minute ride into town (by bicycle) through the paddy fields and country side. Xem tiếp

Two backpacker's recommended the loveley Ha My Seaside Homestay. It's a bit further away from the city but right next to the beach, very peacful and quiet. The perfect place especially if you want to escape the busy and loud city and spend a few relaxing days! Vy, the young lady who ownes the hostel, is such a great host, very kind, helpful and knows the answer to all your questions regarding your stay in Hoi An. She organizes all kinds of tours and busses and knows, which companies offer the best service for a good price. She really lools after her guests very well amd takes care of them. Vy and her family cook delicious, healthy food for good prices at the homestay.  Everything is fresh and she makes the best fruit juices and smoothies, with no extra-sugar! The evening before a lot of her guests left, she organized a delicious BBQ for us! We were like a family all together, very relaxed athmosphere during my stay. The rooms and bathrooms (yes of course with hot water!) are spacious and clean. Towels and soap are provided. She rents bicycles and scooters. She also does laundry for 30 000/kg. I LOVED my stay at Ha My Seaside and can't recommend it highly enough. I was a bit skeptical reading all the amazing reviews, but I wasn't disappointed at all. Vy is incredible, so helpful and friendly. I was immediately welcomed with a lemonade and then after check in was shown to my very comfortable bed! The thick foam mattresses meant I could catch up on much needed sleep. Because it's a bit out of town, we made our own fun at the hostel. The common area felt like a family dinner table. It was easy to meet people and make friends, which is important as a solo traveller. Some nights we played cards and just talked, others we had a BBQ and beach bonfire. It was cheap to rent a scooter (120,000d) to drive 15 minutes into town and explore Cam Nam island, which I also highly recommend. You won't be sorry you stayed here! You will see in these reviews how everyone comments on Vy being a wonderful host, and it's true! She will help with anything possible, and makes sure to remember everyone's name and address them individually which is a lovely touch. It is a little out of town so if you want to stay in the town this wouldn't be for you but if you want a relaxing and peaceful location near the beach which is wonderfully social then this is for you. Vy put on a BBQ whilst we were there which was deeeelicious, everyone seemed to be extending their stays. Would return :) Xem tiếp

Ha my seaside is such a nice place, quiet but still fun.. really close to the beach.. the bathrooms are clean, the rooms are spacious.. and I have to say Vy is such an amazing host, really made me feel at home, really wanted to stay longer but the weather wasn't cooperating, overall I really enjoyed my stay and I highly recommend it if you want To stay near the beach, the beach is beautiful, and vy's place is lovely! Her mom also made us the best banh xeo I've ever had for dinner one night, aahhh so good. Loved it there! Xem tiếp

Vy is the besteht host ever! We ve been hanging out, she organised bon fires, barbeques and is generally just a great person! The location of the home stay is great, less than 2 minutes from an empty beach, with no neighbours and still only 10-15 minutes from hoi an old town. The dorms are beautiful and really big, comfy beds, beautiful exterior and nice food/drinks at good prices. Its a really family like atmosphere and we all ended up hanging out a lot together. It's a nice place for people who want to stay longer, who want make more friends, who want to chill out. The host is a lovely girl who is hostable and try to design different activities for us. The beach is nice and almost like private because few people live around. Highly recommend and do not miss it if you can ride a motorbike. Xem tiếp

Ha My Seaside Hoi An Homestay is a wonderful place to relax, feel the happiness of a Vietnamese family, enjoy the white beach and blue ocean and of course visit the Ancient town of Hoi An. Vy who has this place is a smiling woman, who do everything she can to make your stay unique and comfortable. She took us to her grandmothers house and a duck farm, arranged bonfire on the beach and delicious dinner for everybody at the homestay. We booked three nights but stayed ten nights. The home stay is in a perfect location to the beach. Vy, the manager was extremely helpful and she made sure we had everything I needed. The home stay is very clean, comfortable and it had everything I needed. The restaurants on the beach were also very good, great Seafood. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. Xem tiếp
