Arrived at 10 am after 13 hour flight only to be informed that the room would not be ready until 2 pm. Eventually got a room at 12 noon BUT - One of the smallest rooms I have ever seen in a hotel. No window. Generally clean but a few small bugs around. No room for a table or chair and, barely room for my suitcase. Breakfast quite good with fresh eggs cooked to order. All staff pleasant and friendly but seem to lack experience of running a hotel (no assistance offered when climbing entrance steps with heavy suitcase and two other bags. Xem tiếp

This was the first hotel I stayed in that had no window in the room. When I researched hotels prior to arriving in Vietnam, I knew I wanted to stay at Akoya Saigon Central, however I was concerned as the only rooms available were windowless. However, after visiting the busy and noisy cities of Hanoi and HCMC, having a room without a window is the way to go! The room was small, but had everything I needed for a 4-night stay. The bed was comfortable and all items in the bar fridge were free! The shower worked well but no hot water from sink tap, which I found odd. The hotel is less than a block from Ben Thanh Market, and a 5 minute walk to some good restaurants in the area. The breakfast service was a bit inadequate on my first meal, then the next time it was outstanding, a complete opposite of the previous day. Despite the hiccup on the first morning breakfast, all the customer service from the female staff was very sweet and highly appreciated. Xem tiếp

The hotel room here is not very wide but adequate and clean. My family and I love the industrial design of the room. What surprise us is the hotel will provide us complimentary 2 cans of beer, Coke and 2 bottles of water daily. The staffs are friendly and helpful too. One of the staff in reception desk speaks really good English, also she took me to the police station with her bike as I wanted to make a report on my smartphone being grabbed away. The breakfast provided is quite basic with less variety, but it is satisfying for us. The location of the hotel is in the central of District 1, which is not very far from some of the popular landmarks by foot. There are plenty of food stalls or restaurant nearby, so need not worry about your meal. A 24 hr convenience store is also at the same with the hotel. Overall it was a great experience for my family and I staying in this hotel and we will definitely consider here when we travel to Ho Chi Minh city again. Xem tiếp

I was surprised as how centraly located it was, and yet how quiet it was. I was also surprised as how clean it was, but my biggest surprise was the breakfast they offer for such a small hotel. Its staff is very friendly and helpful. I saw, but didn't use a few massage chairs they have, which makes for an added bonus. I would definitely stay here again. Xem tiếp

Our three night stay at Akoya hotel will go down as one of the worst in my life, without exaggeration. This is not based on one or two issues, however a multitude of significant failings which left us feeling appalled with the customer service and even conned out of money. Please think very carefully before booking this hotel. This hotel informed us they had booked a flight for us then asked us to pay 250 USD in cash. The receptionist told us she was booking through her friend that was an agent for the specific airline (this turned out to be a lie). Much against our best judgement we agreed as the flight was the next day. The flight was subsequently CANCELLED the next day without reason. I checked the booking reference and attempted online check in at which point it became apparent the booking never existed, despite being emailed an electronic ticket seeming genuine enough. They only offered us a refund of 180 USD, keeping 80 dollars. This is an outright scam and we have reported this to VNAT. We had to fork out for another hotel and new flight. Pros Location is good for exploring central Saigon with post office and war remnants museum within walking distance. Cons During check in the receptionist failed to tell us we would need to change room after one night, to a much smaller room. The entire hotel smells like vomit. Came to the conclusion it must be a cleaning product however it genuinely smelt so bad! We asked reception if someone had been ill only to be laughed at and did not receive a clear response. The receptionist staff do not speak good enough English. The tv signal in room was horrendous - no clear pictures and had to ring up 4 times to fix the tv. Noise from house keeping and the restaurant travels around the whole hotel from 6am. Woke us up every day, despite wearing ear plugs. We asked the receptionist if there were any good bars around and received the answer “no not really”. This baffled us, there is a bar literally two doors down and one Xem tiếp

The room was quite small for 2 but for me it is still OK. The staffs were friendly. However, the WiFi is really a big black point. I stayed there for 4 nights but only could use the WiFi (somehow) on the first night and that was all, event the staff could not help me anything. Free WiFi does not mean you don't set up password but it should be able to connect to the Internet. Xem tiếp
