We were given a VIP room but the aircon didn't work. Hence they replaced the room with a standard room with no TV. Wi-Fi was available before leaving mainland & completely cut off once you are in the open sea. Overall its steep price was meant to offset the high operating costs. Xem tiếp

Got picked up in Hanoi at the hotel in a small bus since its difficult for the larger bus to drive in Hanoi. Just outside Hanoi at the tour operators offices we transferred to a large bus. Staff were very friendly, spoke English free, wifi, free water. The boat although looking a bit old, is the same as every other boat there. We were welcomed on board, gave an itinerary and keys to our room. We cam back in 30 mins for lunch. Food was very good. I cannot praise the staff enough for their friendliness. In the afternoon went to a cave which wasn't really a cave and sort of boring. Came back to the boat for Spring Roll cooking lesson and happy hour (bought one bottle of wine and got another free), after which it was Dinner time. Food was served by courses and I can't complain. After food there was shrimp fishing, not exciting there are watching Top Gear in Vietnam on a projector. On the day of leaving be expected to leave your room by 9.15am. Xem tiếp

We liked almost everything of Syrena cruise.Staffs are very helpful. Ms. rosie arranged a car for us for $80(one way) which was higher than we expected & bus for return at $15/pax. The car journey was comfortable. They have their own lounge/waiting area. room was clean & nice . Food was good & enough. Our Ship was all Asian cruise, it was fun to be along with people from korea, Singapore & China. we had specific table for each country with national flag in dining hall !!super fun! Their schedule was really good, not too hasty not too slow, just ideal to enjoy everything. They took us to the surprising cave, Titov island on first day & boating /kayaking on next day. we did not join in Tai chi lesson . What we felt should be improved is drinking water supply. They provided 2 small water bottles/room & charged for water bottle in the dining room. water bottle should be provided for free in the dining room. The bed sheets were too hairy which should be changed. Xem tiếp

The stay was awesome! The rooms even though very petite in size, everything was well equipped inside. Love the little balcony in the room where i spend time chilling. and admiring the beautiful scenery. The programme on the cruise is very well planned and didn't felt too rushed ..Really enjoyed the cruise .. The staff were very friendly and provides very great service.. My son and I booked the three day two night option. It was perfect. All the other travelers that had booked just one night expressed regret at not having taken the two nights ( or more). The second day takes you away from the crowded areas that most of the other boats stay in. Awesome scenery, swimming off the boat, kayaking, squid fishing etc. Overall a very worthwhile experience... I stayed on syrena cruise for one night. it was a nice experience staying an over night on a boat. during the day, the boat sailed to several point and have some a activity from walking in a cave , kayarking ,to mountain hiking. if you visit halong bay, Syrena worth a consideration. Xem tiếp

I was one of the few guests on the boat which was not part of a Taiwanese tour. Because the tour had to come back to Hanoi at 10 am. The return was hurried up.The rooms are beautiful, but some timber on the deck are rotten. This ship needs some work done (I have not look at the hull). It may be the same for all the ships in Halong Bay. The squid fishing is a joke and the kayaks are very old with sharp edges. Finally I was presented with a bill (kayaks + drinks)which was not the price that was agreed on. I commented on and surprise the second bill with the right amount was already printed and presented to me immediatly... The right bill was already printed but a higher bill was presented to me just in case I would not check (US $15 difference). Not a big deal but definitely no tip. Xem tiếp

Although the weather was not great (cool and overcast)we both had a very enjoyable cruise. The scenery and stop sites were nevertheless spectacular. The food was good and plentiful and served in very comfortanble surrounds. Xem tiếp

This is definitely a bucket list vacation. The scenery was spectacular, The food was awesome and the staff was outstanding. Unfortunately we went the first week of April when the kayaking with banded but the cruise line did a great job and providing us with other sites to see. Xem tiếp

Provided transfer from Hanoi 4hrs at reasonable cost ... food & excursions were excellent ... staff was attentive & cabins were clean & comfortable ... kayaking has been forbidden by government two weeks before we arrived ... go to cat ba island for kayaking Xem tiếp

Really enjoyed the cruise, the food was fantastic and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The facilities in the room were very nice. The boat was maybe half full when we went which was a lot nicer as we had more space and made the excursions more personal and not so crowded. Xem tiếp

We choose a 2D1N cruise with Syrena and had a great time on the cruise. The room and bathroom was clean and comfortable. The room I stayed in has its own private balcony, which is good, but you will be hounded by ladies selling their goods on a rowing boat while you are at the balcony and they can be pretty persistent, disrupting your peace and quiet. The cruise itinerary was spaced adequately, without making us feel rushed. We had sufficient time to take in the sights of Halong Bay and the stopover at Tiptop island gave us the opportunity to have a gorgeous overview of the bay from the top. The beach was clean though crowded. The activities on the cruise doesn't seem sufficiently attractive but was pretty fun when we joined in. I would say join in though you are not interested, you never know how fun it can be. The visit to the floating village and pearl farm was educational, but if you are not a fan of boat rides, you might not like it as it took quite some time to go around the village on the rowing boat. Overall, it was a relaxing, great cruise. Xem tiếp

I can't compare it with other Halong Cruises but Syrena is top notch! Besides room comfort (with individual balcony, Very attentive service, and grea food ...Syrena is a smaller boat with about 17 rooms which makes it more intimate and allows them to go where other boats cannot. Also they put together a busy program so you see a lot in a 24 hour cruise. Shuttle from Hanoi and back was seamless and the weather was great. We will go with Syrena again! Xem tiếp

Best part of our trip - we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on Syrena Cruise. We got the deluxe room but it didn't feel too small at all. The bed is like a super king-sized bed and we had the best sleep ever since we toured around Vietnam. Balcony is rather small but still good. Food was not very impressive, just okay. Staff made a point to remember the names of the guests, very attentive. I like that the cruise brought us to some areas that were not too touristy and crowded. We sat in a sampan boat that took us around the fishing village where we were the only tourists there. I would highly recommend to take a two nights option on this cruise. On the second day, we were transferred to a day cruise (only four of us) where we kayaked and cruised along the bay slowly. It was a really relaxing afternoon. Only thing is drinks can be a little expensive. Don't buy your drinks from the cruise. Every evening the ladies on their rowing boats will come by your balcony and ask if you want any food/beer. We got 5 cans of beer for US$5!! Xem tiếp

It was amazing. Really nice boat, great stuff, good food, nice program. Halong Bay is definitely a visit worth and Syrena Cruise is the perfect choice to enjoy it. We traveled several weeks from south to north of Vietnam and this trip with Syrena Cruise in Halong Bay was an absolute highlight. Xem tiếp

Pickup in Hanoi was on time. Minibus for a 4 hour drive was a bit cramped. Staff onboard were very friendly. Accommodation was very nice, good bed and ensuite. Food was plentiful and tasty. Halong bay is a beautiful place to visit. Would recommend this trip with Syrena cruises to anyone Xem tiếp

We chose the 2day 1 night cruise. I personally think this is all you need, after asking our receptionist what we got for an extra night, it didn't really sound that much extra. I must comment on the staff first, Yes there was a bit of a language barrier but they were all very good, a special mention for Thu who was apparently a fairly new member of staff. He was very funny, always coming over to our table talking, taking photos for us, just a very nice helpful 'chap' but as I said every member of staff deserve a mention. The food was good, if not outstanding but there certainly was something for everyone. The drink prices on board were reasonable. They also provided us with a bowl of fruit, bottle of wine and at dinner presented my wife with a lovely bouquet of flowers for our anniversary! What a lovely touch. I would definitely recommend this cruise, we were joined by one other English couple who we shared a table with and a large 20 plus party of Taiwanese people who were very nice, and we had a lot of fun at the evening karaoke with them after dinner!! The pickup was on time with a nice minibus. The 4 hour drive (with a welcome break half way) is as bad as I remember but at least they are trying to improve the road (don't hold your breathe). As soon as we arrived we were taken onboard for a fantastic lunch as we sailed out into the Bay. The weather was poor (it was mid March) cloudy, cool but dry but our guide was very friendly and spoke good English as she outlined our itinerary for the 2 day 1 night cruise. Our first stop was the Vung Vien Floating Fishing Village where we transferred to a local sanpan boat (rowed by a 66 year old man who was stronger than me). It's amazing to see people living on the water this way. We stopped at the pearl farm to see how they culture pearls, then went back to the ship and cruised to Titov Island where we climbed for a spectacular view of the islands. We then returned to the ship and had a cooking lesson in making spring rolls before some squid fishing from the back of the ship. We then had a wonderful seafood dinner. The food really was first class on the ship. After dinner we had a film night then retired. Next day we had tea and pasties for breakfast as we sailed to the Surprise Cave nearby. After that we returned to the ship and had brunch as we sailed back to Halong City. This is a standard itinerary that most cruises follow but it works well even given the poor weather. As to the ship itself - it was in very good condition with well appointed cabins (we had a deluxe seaview cabin on the 2nd deck) that were well decorated and maintained. The ensuite was lovely with a good shower with lots of hot water. Everything worked in the cabin including the aircon unit. The rest of the ship was clean and elegant too with the staff very attentive and friendly. I can wholly recommend this cruising experience with Syrena. This is a mid-price range cruise package and you can pay quite a lot more but I doubt you'll have a much better experience than we did. Xem tiếp
