Great industrial design cencept hotel. Location is walkable to all attractions. Room was clean with all basic amenities like towel, toiletries, water heater, wifi (excellent), slippers, hot water, air cond provided. Just like other comments however, the building is old without lift so be prepared for some stairs. But all in all my stay was great. Xem tiếp

It is easily accessible to everywhere but it is a bit noisy at night because of it is located at the clubbing street of Hanoi. But other than that, the staff has really being helpful during my stay at this place. Xem tiếp

If you intend on sleeping before midnight, this place is not for you. However, I usually go to sleep just after midnight, so there were no worries about the noise from the club downstairs. The staff are all quite friendly and accommodating with good English. The weekends are insanely busy because of the location in the middle of the backpacker area, so make sure you want to be among the bustle before booking :) Clean place, beautiful garden patio. We booked the garden view apartment and the few extra pounds definitely made it worth It! It was secluded and out of the way which was lovely. We were a bit confused as to where to check in at first, but a man directed us up a spiral staircase into a cafe/hairdressers which shares the lobby with oliving. The staff were nice and sorted laundry out for us whilst there. couldn't fault anything about this place! would recommend and stay again Xem tiếp

beautiful room, nice bed, and the biggest shower! And you can have your own old quarter balcony but the sound from the club will only end around 12am onwards, however the steps up to the room is quite a pain, specially if you have older people and many heavy luggages Xem tiếp

The staff here was very polite very attentive to my every need and when I couldn't get a taxi they sorted me out the hotel taxi at a very reasonable price cheaper than local taxi to airport Would definitely stay here again with no hesitating five stars all round good value for money Xem tiếp

Booking: Rooftop/Garden room Background story: I was in the midst of exams and booked it (no free cancellation) without reading the reviews. I’m normally not this careless, but regrets ensued once I started reading them. Let’s start with the pros: - Location is ideal. Within walking distance of different attractions, day tour agencies and the weekend night market with a convenience store just around the corner. If I’m not mistaken, there is also some kind of police post right opposite for extra security. - Staff were really friendly and approachable. Cons: - Not suitable for those with heavy luggage. As mentioned by other guests, how you’d get to the room is first, up a spiral stairs to the hair salon (which is not always clean, i.e. lots of hair on the floor). Next, you’ll pass through the salon and a room that’s the “hotel” lobby. After which you’ll exit down a flight of stairs and immediately up another few flight of stairs to reach the room. Due to renovations of the adjacent shop, one part of the path was particularly narrow from the goods placed along it (I’m a size XS for reference). - Water from shower was very small. I gave feedback when checking out, and learnt that this would happen if you stayed on high floors. Also, (not sure if I’m particularly sensitive, but) the tap was an awkward 10cm away from the sink. I had difficulty using the tap without touching the sink. - Room walls had water marks (I can’t identify whether it was mould, so benefit of doubt). - Floor was EXTREMELY dirty. As Asians, we took off our shoes upon entering, and within minutes, our soles turned black. Without any room slippers provided, we had no choice but to turn to our own slippers. - Adjacent shop is a nightclub, so expect music/noise late into the night. Overall, I had an enjoyable stay once I adapted to the inconveniences. However, if I could choose all over again, I’d definitely want to explore my options. Xem tiếp

Residence is located in the centre of old quarter. Its really easy to go around from here. Room is nice and clean. Price is superb, reasonable and deserve what you pay. Highly recommend! Xem tiếp

The place is really noisy as there is a club downstairs and you can hear the music blasting the whole night. There is no lobby like a proper hotel/apartment. You go into a hair salon and ask the people from the hair salon for check-in. We reached there around 4 pm but there is no one to help us check in, so we had to wait for about 30 minutes. The rooms are at the back, so we have to walk through the hair salon and hair washing stations and use the door at the back. It gets embarrassing as other people are watching at us. Check-out was horrible. I informed the night before that I have an early morning flight and need to check-out very early in the morning. BUT there is no one to help me with the check-out. The front door was locked and the night watch guy brought me through the back door through a storage room, a fire escape staircase and through the back alley. Oh, the bath towels they provide are from the hair salon, so don't mind if there are holes in your towels. Xem tiếp

The place is beautifully designed and spacious with a great private roof terrace. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Unfortunately there is a EDB night club just beneath the rooms, therefore I couldn’t sleep until 1 o’clock in the morning. As I planned a trip for the next day I had to get up at 5 am, this was kind of bummer. I had ear plugs in but could still hear and feel the music. Xem tiếp

Bath room is not there yet. 1, bathroom mirror at tummy level. 2, bathroom door can't be reopened from inside. 3, towels either got yellow dots or ripped with holes. 4, bed sheets feel dusty. 5, it takes great effort to get to the room. 6, nobody seems to man lobby phone. 7, staff seems unwilling to deliver things to the room. 8, constructions inside outside around the venue. 9, only the garden view room is worth it. We booked the Rooftop Terrace Room which was fantastic. We felt like it was a secret hideaway in downtown busy Hanoi. The room was clean and swept and the front desk staff were fantastic. We asked if we could book a trip to Halong Bay 15 minutes before it left in the morning, and we managed to get in without any issues (thanks again!!). The little restaurant attached was perfect - food was great and we ordered Vietnamese coffees and fresh fruit juices each morning. The only negative would be that the residence is situated directly over a bar/club that plays loud bass EDM music until early in the morning. (We had brought earplugs though and after long days of exploring, it was easy to tune it out). Xem tiếp

I have traveled several times to ha noi for work. And about 4 times for leisure purpose. I normally stay in known hotel chains. But this time i wanted to try something new with my husband. Something that fit a 100$ budget a night. I found Oliving hotel on agoda with reviews that made me feel comfortable to give it a try but still left me skeptical about the place. This is what made me want to try it. To see what it was really like. Pros: Action packed at night with bars and places to eat Near a mini mart Fit our budget Aircon was cold Shower had hot water Bed was better than i had expected Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Cons: On top of a bar so it will be noisy until about 12:30am/1:00am Cant really advice this for people with kids Inform the staff if youre checking out early cause there isnt anyone at the front desk at 6:00am Over all, its worth what i paid for being that it was less than 100$ a night. Great room, not a great business. The cafe seems abandoned, the entrance is through a bar, and the staff although very nice are a bit out to lunch (maybe permanently). I loved the beds, the shower and the bathroom in total. However, it is not a place for people wanting to get an early nights rest as the bar below goes until 1am most nights and the bass will register. If you are a night owl, then you'll love it. Xem tiếp

Location is a bit farther away from the lake compared to other hotels in the Old Quarter, but it's not really a problem since Old Quarter is very walkable from every direction. The area can get a bit hectic at night and on the weekends, but hey, you're in the Old Quarter not the French Quarter. A hidden gem in my opinion. Rooms are comparable to 4-star (or even 5-star) hotels. It's an old French villa turned into a boutique hotel. High ceilings, contemporary interiors, very comfortable beds. Quite possibly the most comfortable (hotel) bed I've ever slept in....ever. The linens and towels were clean and smelled fantastic! This hotel is new, but there's something "old soul" about this place that is quite lovely. The whole vibe of this place is straight out of an architectural magazine. I feel bad that this hotel is getting lower ratings because of the noise coming from the bar downstairs. We booked the family room for 3 nights and we weren't really bothered by the "noise". I was travelling with 2 seniors who are arguable light sleepers, but they didn't complain about the noise at all. In fact, they really loved the place that we extended our stay. Breakfast was not buffet-style, but it was more than adequate. I'd choose this over some crappy hotel buffet breakfast. The coffee they served was excellent that I had to ask where they get their coffee. Loved that we were able to have our breakfast on the 2/F balcony overlooking the streets. This place really gives you the whole "boutique hotel" experience....from the architecture, the facilities, the rooms, down to the food. Needless to say, this hotel is highly recommended.
