When arrived at premises, nobody was there other than an old man with chaiirman Ho facial features. Waited a few minutes before a young girl of maybe 18 descended the stairway. I started walking across the foyer when she told me to remove my shoes, I handed my paperwork showing a record of my booking and walked back to the door to remove my shoes. The young girl followed me and asked if the room was for 1, I replied, no 2. She then asked if the room was paid for to which I responded no. She then told me there were no rooms available. I was not at all happy and let her know it but I managed to control myself. No I would not recommend this guesthouse to my enemies, let alone my friends. Xem tiếp

Clean rooms and extremely friendly and helpful family who where more than happy to make us feel welcome and help us with questions. Whilst a little hard to find from the street, our taxi took us straight there and the location made for a quiet restful night once we got in (which was late). No hassles, would go back. Xem tiếp

Small windowless room, but perfect for the ones who prefer to save money for the activities! The hosts are very friendly and speak english, the rooms are clean, well decorated. It is located in a small street, very quiet, definitely not a tourist place. Xem tiếp

It is a home-stay and they do not have house keeping service. Room was not cleaned during my 3 days stay. They didn't even know where I can book for tours. It is a quite place but bit far from main tourist place. It is only recommended to people who prefer quite environment and would like to experience local's life style. Xem tiếp

Nam Chau is a small, family run guesthouse. The rooms are in the family house, so you stay with the family: grandfather, mother and father and older children (late teens or early twenties). I stayed in a single room without window and it was fine. The room was small but adequate, modern and clean with a big bed, small desk, desk lamp, clothes hanging space, wall mounted flat screen tv, fan and good air-con. The private bathroom, like most others in budget places in SE Asia, does not have a separate shower cubicle. The bathroom was clean, the water was hot (including in the basin) and the shower rose and water pressure were good. Soap and toilet paper were supplied with the room. The family were kind and helpful and respected my privacy. I did not eat at there and they don't have a formal restaurant. I would definitely stay again if I were to return to Ho Chi Min City. Nam Chau Guesthouse has good position, near Ben Thanh market. Although its room is small and inconvenient, it is rather clean. It's most impressive that service of the host is so good. We like it. Hopefully, if they still keep this service, I'll choose the guesthouse in our next trip. Xem tiếp

The room I stayed in was tiny and had no window (but I knew that when booking). Located on the 3rd floor, it was relatively quiet, the sheets and also the bathroom were clean. Hot water didn't really work. The hotel is located in a little side street, a 15 minute walk away from Bui Vien, which is the backpacker street with all the restaurants, bars, travel agencies and so on. The upside on that is, that it's really quiet there. The downside, whatsoever, is that the area of the hotel doesn't really feel save to walk through at night - and even a local told me to be really careful walking around there at night. All in all it was an ok stay, but compared to other rooms I had in Vietnam, the price was too high for what is on offer (although HCMC IS more expensive all over). Xem tiếp

We've stayed here for 1 night. The room is very small, there are no windows and no fresh air, but the conditioner is fine. If you need to stay somewhere in ho chi minn city for 1 night then it is a good choice Xem tiếp

Good location, that is, if you can find it. I arrived around 1am but the taxi took me to another 171 co something street which is what was written in the agoda receipt. So guys, when you want to stay in nam chau, make sure its 171/2 co bac! Coz the area there are all co somethings. Aside from finding the place, there isnt anything i could discriminate, the staff are nice, aircon is cold, hot shower, huge bed and did i mention great people. Anyway, i hope this comment helps other travelers locate the place faster. Thought it really helps if the hotel put up some signs on the main street. Just so people wont get lost. Xem tiếp

The stay was good. The family was really nice and when we asked to stay 1 day longer, it was no problem at all. The location is great; less than 5 min walk to the main backpackersstreet. The rooms are small and basic, but are decent and the beds were good. Overall a nice stay. Xem tiếp

It's a budget place and you get what you pay for. But the staff/owners are very helpful. For example I borrowed a motorbike helmet twice and also checked in extra early without an extra charge. Xem tiếp
