Murray Guesthouse is a very convenient for overnight stay, when you are heading from Saigon to Ha Tien. Rooms were clean and specious and owners nice and helpful. The only small downside is that the breakfast is a bit light. Xem tiếp

Mr. Murray, his wife and the stuff were so kiendly and helpfully. While our stay I was ill and they supported us whenever we want. Great place, we think the best, in Chau Doc. The guesthouse is good located. We can absolutely recommend the accommodation. :) Would book again in every time! Xem tiếp

The owners are a couple with perfect mix - he's a Westerner who knows what a foreigner would find enjoyable in the area, while she's a local and the hotel is actually her house!! They tried their best to accommodate us even though we only booked 1 night there. Totally recommended. Xem tiếp

Best place on Chau Doc! Immaculate rooms, nice staff, it's got a beautiful pool table (!), and the price can't be beat. Kiwi owner is a fascinating and friendly gentleman. Unless you want to pay more and stay at the Victoria, this is the place to be. Xem tiếp

We were made to feel very welcome from the get go. The owners were very helpful with travel information and suggestions of places to see, restaurants to try and things to do in the area. We arrived on New Year's Eve and were offered tasty finger foods and Champagne to help ring in the New Year...a very thoughtful and generous gesture we really appreciated. Xem tiếp

This guest house is spotted clean and tidy, self-service bar and pool table is nice idea. Staff is friendly and know what they are doing. Breakfast is nice with homemade sausage. But personally i don't feel comfortable in this place for some reasons: 1. if you come home after 10 pm, you are charged 80,000vnd, you can't adjust the A/C temperature since it is fixed and the blanket is thick so it is pretty hot when we traveled there at the end of April in Viet Nam. The self-service bar and entertain room is not equipped with A/C so it is very hot as well. Xem tiếp

This place is beautiful, spotless clean with all the facilities of a good hotel. The staff are amazing. They booked the bus we asked for and gave us a lot of information on what to do in the area.We had an amazing stay in Chau Doc and the staff helped us make good use of our time here. We have an excellent stay at Murray Guesthouse. The staff were unfailingly pleasant, polite and helpful and the proprietor was a mine of information about the locality and always willing to answer questions about Vietnam and life there. We booked a triple room and stayed for 1 night here and got the warmest greetings we could ever expected. If you want to find a place where has clean room, friendly staff and the most welcoming feeling comes from the owners, this hotel is highly recommended. Tips: you should enjoy the local food called "bún cá" (noodles soup with fish) just go out of the hotel door, on the right, you'll find a lady who sells it. Although a little bit further away from the center of town than we were expecting, it is easy to walk around and free bicycles are available. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Wayne provides a guide book of places to visit, and as he has experienced everything first hand, he can give very helpful advice. My husband loved Wayne's home made sausages for breakfast and his wife cooked me a vegetarian pho for breakfast each morning, which we had on the balcony, watching the world go by. Minh on reception was able to tell us where to hire a motorbike and we had a lovely day going to Tra Su bird sanctuary (a must as far as I am concerned) and Sam Mountain. The day we left Wayne's wife phoned the bus company to make sure our pick up was turning up (it was a bit later than we were expecting) which reassured me that we wouldn't miss our bus and then we were waved off by the staff - it felt like family were waving us off. Chau Doc felt really safe and the people in the town were amazingly friendly. Xem tiếp

The condition of the guesthouse was first class, and the staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. The Australian owner and his Vietnamese wife genuinely care about their guests - and constantly strive to improve their operations. As for the he location, the guesthouse is a bit out of the way, but not too much. And while it is more expensive than most of the places in town, it is also a lot better. I've stayed at this guest house several time. It's just the best for a good inexpensive overnight! They have free bikes to look over the area & will give you a map with places to go. The owners are great too! I felt the place was like a museum with beautiful things from their travels all over the world! Thanks! Xem tiếp

Fabulous place to stay, friendly helpful staff, free bikes, great breakfast , comfortable beds, good showers and air con.... Also a rooftop terrace with plants and a balcony overlooking the street where breakfast is served. Good advice on things to do.... Xem tiếp

Can't say enough about how much I enjoyed my time here; a wonderful little oasis in Chau Doc. It's clean, tastefully decorated and laid-out, features a great breakfast, good room with aircon and cable TV (HBO!), and a wonderful staff. If you want to rent motorbikes, head to the Trung Nguyen Hotel near the market! Xem tiếp

We did not have a meal, so cant rate the food. But if it was as good as everything else, then it would bave been very good indeed. We stayed overnight on our way by ferry up the Mekong to Phnom Penh, and our pick up to and from our accomodation, and transfer and tickets were all arranged via the Murray Guesthouse agents in advance, all brilliantly and hassle free! This was truly excellent service. The building itself, its amenities and our rooms, were all comfortable, well appointed, with everything we needed. The staff and owners are particularly interesting, friendly and well informed, and we could have chatted pleasantly for hours. Our one regret was that our schedule prevented us from staying longer! A lovely oasis for travellers, and a real find! Very highly recommended. Xem tiếp
