We loved our time at Joy Homestay. The room was incredible, so clean and modern. The receptionist, Thuy was so kind and helpful with everything. Room is cleaned daily with fresh towels and stocked bar fridge. It was a short walk or bike ride to the town center, making it a nice quiet location. We booked for one night and ended up staying 5 because we didn't want to leave. Definitely the best place we have stayed at in all of SE Asia. Enjoyed our stay. Staff very friendly & helpful. Breakfast every day an treat. Rooms are excellent, very nice bed and we had a great balcony. Excellent location. Just outside the busy tourist area. Just hop on your bike, supplied by the homestay, and a 10min. bikeride and you are in the old town. The beach is about 25 min. bikeride away. Xem tiếp

I have stayed here before and will come back again. The staff are lovely. I travel alot for business and after a while every hotel looks and feels the same. This is a much more authentic, welcoming experience and I love meeting fellow travellers at the group dinners. I have met and made friends with some really interesting people. Xem tiếp

Room is very clean but no hair dryer inside the room. Location is bit far from center but if you prefer quiet place like us it shouldn't be any problem. Can always cycling it take taxi to the central. Owner and staff are very friendly and helpful ppl. Wil sure come back again next time. Xem tiếp

Recommend! For reference we are traveling around the world and have stayed at a range from dorm rooms in backpacker hostels to Marriott and this was a nice easy and affordable fit. Our stay was lovely, this is a great option for families as this is walking distance to the Old Town (about 15 min) and very mellow - we are a family of three and host and family were very hospitable, inviting us and other guests for an amazingly delicious and casual home-cooked 4 course dinner our first night, offering suggestions and giving us a friendly reception whenever we arrived. There was even some lovely guitar playing. Free breakfast each morning was pleasant. They were helpful when we needed, unobtrusive, gave free bicycles, arranged car transport to Danang when we left, chips and beer in room was as cheap or cheaper than in local markets. The room was very nice size, well kept. There is a bit of construction going on all around Hoi An so I don't think you can stay anywhere and avoid it completely, but the work being done on house opposite us was not particularly noisy. Staying at Joy Hoi An was the highlight of my time in Vietnam. The owners and the staff are incredibly friendly, and really go out of their way to make you feel like part of the family. This was especially nice being a solo traveler in a foreign country. The breakfast was incredible -- I had a traditional Vietnamese dish one morning, banana pancakes, a mango smoothie, and excellent coffee. The rooms are beautiful and clean. The location is a bit away from town and the beach, but can be reached by bike, and really quick and easy on a motorbike. This is THE place to stay in Vietnam. It was so hard to leave! This homestay is simply amazing! Clean, cosy and big rooms with A/C, fan, TV, fridge/minibar, nice beds and balcony. Room service every day. The family is warm and so helpful. Breakfast is very good and the dinner we have been invited to was amazing, too. Many thanks to Son and his family! Xem tiếp

My stay at Joy homestay really did top my three week visit to Vietnam. I booked a two night stay but ended up staying for over a week, the staff, family and guests were like one big family. It was normal to arrive back to the house to find beautiful food on the table or something gorgeous being cooked in the kitchen by Dung, fellow guests sat around chatting with Son and his family over a beer or coffee and lots of laughter and tales of travels and adventure. The bedrooms are large, clean and very comfortable. The house is a nice distance from the old town and a short bike ride to the beach, bikes are free for guests and Mopeds are available on request. This place really is special and I hope to return in the future, I would highly recommend Joy for both solo and couple travellers who enjoy meeting new people, love food and who want to just relax and go with the flow..I was very sad to leave. I really cannot begin to describe or put into words how much I enjoyed my stay at Joy Hoi An Homestay. I was advised to stay there by another couple who had extended their original stay from two days to one week, as I ended up doing and as other are doing currently. This place is seriously good. It is very reasonably priced and, for westerners of course it is cheap to to sleep. Too cheap for what you get! Apart from being modern and clean it has such a friendly and humble family as hosts who go out of their way to welcome you and provide wonderful breakfasts and other snacks from time to time. I had impromptu dinners of shellfish, noodles and herbs, some of which are picked freshly from the garden. These meals were typically Vietnamese and an experience I will not forget. Only Bed and breakfast is listed as their service but, it doesn’t stop there. I had breakfast both in western and Vietnamese style with the compulsory smoothie of mango or banana. Coffee and tea were always available. The building is quite newly built and very clean with calming and cooling polished marble floors extended right throughout the home. Balconies are on the higher levels. The garden surrounded my huge ground level double room with a herb and salad vegetables, betel palms, okra and banana trees whilst, the neighbours gardens further enhanced this quality site. My family away from home were Son, Thuy, Mickey (always with a joyful “hello”) baby Ruby, mother and father (88 years with full smile), and an untiring receptionist Yung. Always happy, always caring, eager to please and forever humble. I have tears welling in my eyes writing this wonderful missive but, it is true. At the end of my extended stay, it was worth a lot, lot more than the bill of about 120 Australian dollars suggests. Accueil chaleureux dans cette vraie homestay; la famille et la petite équipe sont aux petits soins pour les voyageurs; chambres et salle de bains très confortables et spacieuses; la maison est située au calme un peu excentrée de la vieille ville; le prêt de vélos permet de se déplacer agréablement et visiter les alentours (rizières, ...); le cooking tour recommandé est une réussite; les bons conseils, l'assistance pour les réservations et le sourire de la "réceptionniste" ont été appréciables; joyeuse invitation à un délicieux repas "maison" le dernier soir; adresse déjà transmise à d'autres voyageurs lors de nos rencontres; nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir! Sehr sauber, freundlich, kompetent. Das Personal hat uns sehr herzlich in Empfang genommen und mit Tips und gutem Service begeistert. Das Haus ist nur wenige Jahre alt und dementsprechend in gutem Zustand. Roller und Fahrrad verleih zu ordentlichen Konditionen. Liegt ziemlich genau zwischen Strand und "Stadt". Das joy hostel liegt sehr gut zwischen Strand und Innenstadt, beides ca. 10-15min entfernt. Personal ist auch super freundlich und hilfsbereit. ABER Die Fahrräder sind mieserabel, kosten trotzdem einen Dollar. Die Motorbikes fahren. In Dollar billiger als in dong. Für 120.000 dann doch schlechtes preis leistungaverhaltnis. Kakerlake im Zimmer. Nachdem wir diese entfernt hatten auch noch Maus als Untermieter gefunden. Keinerlei Berücksichtigung bei finaler Abrechnung. Als bonbon oben drauf, erhielten wir unsere Wäsche dreckiger zurück, als wir sie hingegeben haben. Zu allem Überfluss auch noch recht feucht. Eine meiner Hosen weißt jetzt sehr resistente Flecken auf, kann sie therotisch wegwerfen, aschpulverreste auf vielen Kleidungsstücken. Als kleiner tip, nicht zu den empfohlenen schneidern gehen. Haben nur den sun tailor ausprobiert, totaler reinfall! Xem tiếp

Ich habe vier angenehme Nächte im Joy Homestay verbracht. Zimmer ist geräumig und war sauber. Bett ist komfortabel und für eine Person mehr als ausreichend (Doppelbett). Die Klimaanlage war sehr leise und hat einwandfrei funktioniert. Der Flat Screen-TV besitzt ein paar englische Kanäle. Die Eigentümer und das Personal waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Zu meiner angenehmen Überraschung wurde ich sogar an meinem letzten Tag zu einem sehr leckeren BBQ eingeladen! Verständigung auf Englisch war prinzipiell gut und ich habe immer das erhalten, was ich wünschte. Die Lage ist aus meiner Sicht ideal, da das Joy Homestay zwischen der Stadt und dem Strand liegt. Mit dem Fahrrad/Scooter sind es 10 Minuten zum Stadtzentrum resp. 15 Minuten zum Strand. Darüber hinaus war es sehr ruhig. Ich kann das Joy Homestay wärmstens empfehlen! Xem tiếp

Het is een zeer nette Homestay. Echter wij werden iedere morgen om 7 uur wakker doordat naast joy een ander huis gebouwd werd. Het leek wel alsof ze bij ons in de kamer bezig waren. Ik heb dit gemeld bij de vriendelijke dame die alles runt. Zij kon er niks aan doen. Wel vind ik het jammer dat dit niet op voorhand is verteld of dat wij op gecompenseerd werden. Ook heb ik de eigenaar nadat wij incheckten niet meer gezien zodat wij niet echt terecht konden met onze klacht. Als er geen verbouwing meer is zou ik de Homestay zeker aanraden. Xem tiếp
