Mr. Thai and his family were excellenct hosts. We decided to stay an extra night. They provide fresh fruit for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. His wife's cooking was amazing. Great place to relax after spending time in busy Saigon. Worth the money. Xem tiếp

What a treat! We came here after being recommended by a friend and had an incredible visit. Mr. Thai is such a gracious host and has created such a beautiful little oasis in the Mekong Delta area. It is definitely rustic, with simple beds, cold shower, etc., but for the price it is perfection. All of the home cooked meals are delicious and he happily arranged a lovely private tour of the area on bikes and a boat for us. Would highly recommend to anyone! Xem tiếp

Highly recommend! Great room, great food all on a beautiful property. At first we weren’t sure how we would get there, but if you take a bus they know his place. They take you to the entrance and then call Mr. Thai to get you on the motorbike. My husband left his iPad behind by accident and Mr. Thai went out of his way to get it shipped to our next location. We had an amazing stay. Mr. Thai was so friendly and took us on a great tour innthe area. Our Boys had a great time fishing in the small pond and tasting all the fresh fruit from the garden. MR. Thai’s wife served the most amazing food every Day. We just loved the place! Xem tiếp

I have travelled throughout VN for years and this is the best homestay I’ve done. Food was exceptional cooked by Mr Thai’s wife. If you don’t like some foods tell Mr Thai early because they supply plenty of food and it would be a shame to waste any (especially if you don’t like fish). Mr Thai organized good bus instructions from HCMC to his house. I stayed 3 nites but will visit again. He organizes tours that are for you and not with tourist groups. He is very accommodating. The rooms were very nice and the cold shower will soon invigorate you. You won’t be disappointed. Xem tiếp

Thai, the host is very kind and does everything to make you fell at home. Wild and cozy atmospher at the same time. Thai has organized for us a good boat trip along the Mekong river. I reccomend it to people that wants to spend time out of the commercial style given by hotel. Ti do! Xem tiếp

I was undecided on which place to stay on my visit to Ben Tre, but I'm so happy I chose this spot. Mr. Thai was beyond friendly, and I've never felt so at home in a homestay. We had fresh fruit grown on the property, fresh fish caught from his pond, nice bikes to use, and a real Mekong experience at night. Worth every penny, and I will definitely stay here again on my next trip down to Ben Tre. Xem tiếp

Thai, the host of the homestay is the most gracious host and so accommodating. He is always asking how we are doing. His wife cooks the most amazing food. He will make sure you get the tour that is best suited for you. He is passionate about his community and gives back generously to his guides and to his community. Great quiet location in the middle of the countryside. Great to explore the surroundings with the free bikes. The food is amazing! Thai is a nice host, Sometimes a little too eager to sell tours, but not so much for the money as well he just wants to show his birthland. We ended up only doing the boattour in the afternoon. Was oké, but not as authentic as I hoped after reading all of the reviews. After all: great place to relax and enjoy silence and good food. If you're a tourlover I really believe Thai is your guy, if not, just enjoy his house and Let him help with onward travels. Xem tiếp

We had a great stay at Hong Thai homestay! After initially struggling to find the place (I recommend arranging that with him ahead of time), we felt right at home when we got there! Hong Thai has so much personality. His wife cooked incredible meals for us. We took a great motorbike tour with his friend through the Mekong Delta, on crazy back roads and even on ferries over rivers. Highly recommend! Xem tiếp

Thai and his family were the perfect hosts. He told us which bus to get from HCMC, picked us up, organised tours, spoke to us about the local area and kept us in beer for the 2 days we spent there. The boat trip and cycle ride were fantastic as was the trip to the floating market in Can Tho. We had a good time at mr Thai place's. He was a very good host and made sure we had everything we needed. Dinner was great, however we regret we did not help to cook as promised. Facilities are really basic, no mirror or sink in the room. We took one of the motorbike tours he offered (side business), and had a good time even if it was maybe slightly too expensive. Xem tiếp

I booked two nights and ended up staying five. Thai gave a very warm welcome ~ picked me up from the hotel I was staying at in Ben Tre, did everything possible throughout my stay to ensure I was comfortable & happy. His wife is incredible!.. A lovely lady that never stops working and her cooking is devine. Thai is in the business of motorbike tours and will be telling you all about the different tours he offers. He will also tell you about his fascinating life. Accommodations are very basic and not the cleanest ~ but the lovely garden & company make up for what lacks in room comfort. Great experience! Easy 2 hr bus ride from HCMC. Mr Thai picks you up on his motorbike and 20 mins later you are relaxing in a hammock with a cold drink. We had a really good time at the Hong Thai Homestay. Mr Thai has set things up really well, and this is definitely a great spot to relax in the beautiful fruit filled country side of the Mekong Delta. We stayed two nights and did the cycling/boat tour on our first day, followed by an excellent motor cycle tour the second. Although,quite pricey for us at $65 each for the two day tour we felt it was worth it. Both of our guides were interesting, informative and really helped us to gain a better understanding of the area we were visiting! I'd recommend this to everyone. As an aside, Mr Thai's wife is an incredible cook, her food alone, is reason enough to visit! Xem tiếp

It was OK, however if you don't ride a motorbike yourself, you'll be totally dependent on the owner and his side business :trips. He will charge you $50 per head per trip on top of your $30 per room. Given the price of food and petrol, and cost of living, especially there in Mekong Delta, this is a rip off. The house is situated far from any normal Street, there's no way to get in and out by any other way but a motorbike. Xem tiếp
