Linh who ran everything was simply amazing, so accommodating and welcoming. She does her best to give you the best experience in Phong Nha and the most honest. She helped take care of helping me book my taxi to the airport and my train ticket to Danang. Thank you Linh for everything! Xem tiếp

Nice homestay - friendly owner initially however she seemed a bit less keen when we didn’t organise a tour with her. Bit out of town but nice room, good breakfast. They let us arrive at 4am and sleep on a spare bed which was lovely. The host is able to organise lots for you however we Found buses and motorbikes were cheaper down the road Xem tiếp

Very clean, very comfy, amazing home-cooked food and amazing service and info for all attractions in the local area. Linh is amazing, her family very friendly and the views from the homestay of the river are so beautiful with the mountains in the background. I don't normally write reviews but she deserves this. We felt uncomfortable in this homestay. The room quality was acceptable but due to disadvantages we ended up leaving for another homestay after 2 nights. The owner started out being friendly but shortly after was insisting us do the significantly expensive cave tours whenever she saw us. We ended up doing the caves ourselves by hiring a driver to take us around, and including the entry costs it was less than a third of the price. There was also a woman lingering around the homestay who we originally thought was family but turned out not to be, who wanted us to sit with her and she was very hands on. She kept stroking my girlfriend's leg and wanted to hold her hand. It was weird and we weren't sure why the homestay owner didn't request her to stop or leave. The room was ok - large room but offered no mosquito nets which was surprising for the area as the windows had no glass on to seal them off from outside. We were offered a homestay dinner, but there's such good choice of restaurants in Phong Nha so didn't feel the need to eat there. Also we were drawn by the offer of bicycle hire but when we got there no bikes were left that were in a usable condition. Xem tiếp

Beautiful location right on the river with a great breakfast!! The family dinner they offer was delicious and a lot of fun, highly recommend eating that if you stay there! Linh is amazing and super helpful with everything, she really goes the extra mile for her guests! I would highly recommend this to anyone that is going to Phong nha! Xem tiếp

Having stayed here for a second time, Green Riverside is quickly becoming a ‘home away from home’ for me. My Linh and her family continue to be amazing hosts and offer fantastic hospitality. Phong Nha is one of my favourite destinations to travel to and I will continue to stay at Green Riverside in the future. My Linh works extremely hard to run her very own successful Homestay with Green Riverside, and at the same time as raising her own family! She is always ready to welcome you with open arms and will provide an outstanding customer service. I thoroughly recommend staying here! A very affordable accomodation with very good rooms, dining options, amenities and services, and most significantly, a fantastic authentic experience - where can you go wrong. Inital vibe was ok. Remote location but can borrow bikes so that was ok. Then the "fun stuff"... We where greeted and showed to our room, witch suposedly we got upgraded - she followed up by saying we could pay extra for it, No smiles No laugh. We unpacked and was showed the social area. And imediatly she asked us about that we had planned, I stated "we get picked up early to go to Oxalis 2 day/1 night Tu Lan cave" . Her response? "Aww, that is not a good trip, if I knew you befor you booked I would have recommend a good one for you. A *this and this cave by this company* is so much better. So sorry you should have gotten another trip".. I WAS GOBSMACKED, all within 10 minuts upon arrival. Nevertheless, we wanted food and asked if they had, and where the nearest ATM was, to withdraw money (because cash is king in Vietnam). She said "No need, we can pay at her place by card" 😐... We still wanted cash regardless... So we politely declined eating there as the prices was higher than normal and because we wanted to streach our legs after a long trainride. We then asked if we could get the KEY to our room, as she had still not peovided it. And the reply was "why?".. I eventually got it. We went of to The City to eat... The following morning she repeated that we should leave the bags at her place and collect it there, so we could stay 1 more night.. And asking us if we had breakfast included, witch we ofc had🤨 By this time I was so done. I was releaved when The bus Came to pick us up for what turned out to be an AMAZING hike, Oxalis is so highly recommendable.... This place is not.. Xem tiếp

Linh was the greatest host, and her place is so great! She welcomes tired travellers to her place all the time and makes sure they are looked well after. Sometimes family dinners are offered at $100k/person, and I would highly recommend not eating for the day because you will be soooo full afterwards. Linh also has experience as a Tour Guide, and we went to the Ruc Mon Cave and had a blast (not for the faint-hearted as there are lots of climbing involved)! Thank you Linh for the memorable stay! This is Lins family home and she welcomes you in to her family with a broad smile and a fantastic attitude. Lin goes way beyond what anyone would expect, she picked us up on her moped from the bus stop, gave us honest advice and organised tours for us. She has guided in ALL the caves so really knows her stuff. She wasn’t happy with how our tour ended up (day 2 was washed out by a rainstorm) and pro-actively contacted the company for a partial refund. She has free bikes you can use, mopeds to hire at a fair price, will change money at a fair rate and will welcome you to be part of her home. The accommodation is first rate and the food was spot on. This is a honest, well run place with a dynamo of a woman at its heart. What more can I say, Lin, if you ever want a job in the UK please give me a call. Xem tiếp

Staff was so great and helpful. The room was large and clean with a huge bathroom. Nice tables by the river to enjoy your morning coffee or a late-night beer. Very quiet at night to loud music or karaoke. many tours run out of this guest house and they are helpful in choosing the correct type of tour for you. Xem tiếp

This was a great place! The home stay was right on the river. The room that I stayed in was huge with a very large bathroom. The breakfast in the morning was also delicious. All the staff and family members were extremely kind and welcoming. I would stay here again. Xem tiếp

Stop right now and book this place! Hands down, one of the nicest place I’ve ever stayed at. Linh and her family will ưelcome you with gorgeous riverside location, ice cold water on arrival, gorgeous sparkling clean rôm and so much travel advice and booking help. Make sure to try a family dinner, it is such a greaattt food and her family are very warm and friendly, especially darling Chip! And Linh will blow you away with her hópitality! Lovely guesthouse managed by experienced and very helpful Mylinh. Perfect location by the river. Clean spacious accommodations. I was travelling in August hence be prepared for mosquitos. Food was a bit of a challenge but manageable. My Linh and her family did all possible to make my stay comfortable..very grateful and happy to have spent time with them. Xem tiếp

We liked our stay very much. Beds were very comfortable, hosts are friendly. The tour we got recommended was fun. Everything is clean and the garden is nice to sit outside. The best thing was the family dinner which was really delicoius and the mango smoothie, which was incredible as well. It s about 20 min walk to the center. Xem tiếp

this was the worst experience during our trip. Normally everything was just fine in all other Homestay’s & hostels and we didn’t have any problems but this place was just bad. In the first room the AC was not working and in the second it was not working properly so it was still hot in the room (when telling the owner about that she just said that it was because of the hot weather -aha ) Additionally the water in the bathroom was brown and smelled like foul eggs and there were ants in the room and mold on the walls. And we couldn’t charge our phones because the sockets didn’t work with our chargers, they just became very hot (in all other accommodations it worked). It’s all in the title. With this accomodation having a small capacity for guests, cosy is what we got and it felt like home. This is a family run homestay which has great quality rooms and amenities. What I love about it most is that it’s a family business. By staying here you’re also supporting a local family, which is a great thing to do. My Linh, the owner, is absolutely fantastic. Whenever you need something, just send her a message on WhatsApp and she’ll read it right away. Great customer service and very helpful. The Cosy Home is very conveniently located with small cafes and restaurants right outside, and the Oxalis head office in short walking distance. There are also free bicycles to rent. The rooms are clean, spacious and quite modern and the on-site restaurant has a good variety of food available, catering for many different tastes, including Asian and Western. Plus, a small but tasty breakfast is included. We were very happy with our stay. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others. Xem tiếp
