Room is spacious and located at a busy district. This is good if you want a quick walk to bus stop going to different district or to Cambodia. It is also few steps away from park and long stretch of eateries and cafe. Nothing fancy in the hotel just basic room to stay overnight. Xem tiếp

Great location. Only con is size of the bathroom. the bathroom is behind the glass screen, although it is almost opaque, but it's not cool to sit in the pot when you're not alone in the room :)) Xem tiếp

Great place, had everything I needed. Simple breakfast every day, right in district 1. Nice bars near by, alot within walking distance. It is located in an alley street, but don't let that bother you, just walk to the place and get greeted by warm smiles of the staff. English is not bad, and they can accommodate money exchange if you need it. Great place to go for first nights to get bearings straight. **Note** if you have big luggage there is stairs and only stairs. They do have a winch to haul bags up, but just know large bags may be difficult. Safe location and someone is always there to let you in late, even if it looks closed, it's only because they lock it up at night. I would stay again. Xem tiếp

Happy with this place which is located in a busy area which has numerous budget hotels. Very near to the bus station. Easily accessible from/to the airport and most of the city's attractions are within walking distance. There is a bit of noise from outside and the rooms aren't soundproof, but that probably won't bother most people. The front window rooms get the morning sun. Other rooms appear to have windows opening onto the corridor. Breakfast is basic. The staff were friendly and helpful and not at all pushy with tours and airport transfers. Xem tiếp

Had low expectations for this place but they nevertheless left a good impression. The rooms were clean, and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast is included, which is very nice to have. Some downsides - not enough surfaces in bathroom, can't place toiletries anywhere - bathroom doesn't have hooks either, so nowhere to place towels - no elevator, so high floors are a real literal trek Some upsides: - amazing location!!! - staff are very nice and helpful - international cable TV - in house beers only 12000vnd Xem tiếp

Fantastic hotel near all the action but tucked away down a quiet alley. Lovely spatious rooms with big windows, hot water, fast wifi and helpful staff. Would certainly stay again. One of the cleanest hotels we have stayed in. Xem tiếp

Most reviews are spot on, this place is nice, very clean, safe and good value. Wish there was an option to rent the room without breakfast as it is pretty bad. Then again, it is usually the case in similar places. Would gladly stay again! Xem tiếp

Nice clean hotel with lovely staff. Room was also clean and spacious. Lack of a lift meant a lot of walking up and down stairs to our top floor room. Good exercise, but annoying if you forgot something downstairs! Xem tiếp

The hotel is right in the backpacker area but inside a quiet alley with many other guesthouse so it feels very safe and not noisy at night. There is no lift but the staff can help you with your luggage. I stayed in the family room with balcony and the room is sufficient for 5 adults. Some simple amenities are provided in the room and shower as well. The room and shower are both very clean and the water in the shower is strong. Bedding may not be the best but they are adequate for a good night sleep. Wifi signal is strong and the speed is fast during our stay. Overall this is superb value for money and the staff are very friendly as well. It would be great if there are additional staff as they can be very busy at times. Xem tiếp

Daytime staff was perfect English speaker and the room was comfortable, but the night shift staff was bad. I got up 4 am and need to go to the airport, but the staff could not speak English, did not know where my passport was and took 20 minutes to go out. Xem tiếp

I traveled alone, and chose Giang Son 2 for it's price and proximity to the backpacker's area near Pham Ngu Lao. The hotel entrance is tuck inside one of the unmarked alleys, which can be pretty intimidating for first time Saigon travelers to wander into. Rest assured it's okay to step into the alley. Do take note that along that alley there is a Giang Son and a Giang Son 2 hotel, both run by the same family. I got confused and stepped into Giang Son initially, small issue actually. First impression of Giang Son 2 was that the receptionist is very affable. She tries her best to explain to me how to hotel works, and even offered me password to wi-fi, offered to carry my enormous bag upstairs, and showed me to my room. Why I say it made me feel like staying at home is because every guest would be required to remove their shoes at the lobby before proceeding upstairs to their room. This is something new for a hotel. They also provide free homecooked breakfast of eggs, toast, and coffee/tea in the morning at specific timing. The hotel is more like a private house with many rooms on different floors. It is decently maintained, clean, and homely. They also work on trust; you will have to entrust your room keys to the front desk before leaving the hotel to explore Saigon. I was pretty reserved initially, but what I can say is that this family is worth your trust, and there is absolutely nothing to worry about. Do feel free to ask the front desk for directions to popular tourist destinations such as the Ben Thanh Market, or good places for spa and massage, or even to call for a cab. They will be more than willing to assist you. Lastly, the hotel shuts its shutters at 12 midnight. I got a shock when I returned and was locked out. Thankfully the receptionist on duty opened the door for me. Do take note to inform the receptionist if you are staying out late, she will personally stay awake to open the door for you, which I was really grateful for Xem tiếp

This hotel was great from the get go. We arrived a day early in Saigon and although they didn't have a room for us, the owner introduced us to a friend of hers who had a room for one day and we were taken care of. Every question we asked was answered with a smile, and everything about the hotel was well taken care of. A great stay among some fairly poor hotels in this price range in Vietnam. pros: i would like to commend personally minh nguyen the receptionist for being so nice and very accommodationg during our stay at gian son hotel 2. she provided all the neccessary informations such as tour packages, best restaurant around the vicinty of the hotel which lead us to the best pho and iced coffee. she also reminded us to take care of our valuables especially walking around ho chi minh city. the hotel was clean, they served good breakfast with guava jam and the bread as well. our group also liked the welcome drink which taste good (calamansi juice). during our stay also minh, keep our transportaion back to the airport settled and with a good driver that is so perfect. she even accompanied as to go with one of our places to go which is the hoa lam shangrila healthcare. and this was a very nice experience.and also i would like to thank the colleague of minh which was very helpful also during our stay. the staff who keeps the room clean was so very detailed in cleaning the room (the young guy and young lady). if given the chance to go back in ho chi minh i will definitely stay here again. superb!!! cons: none during our stay. small but clean rooms with basic breakfast and efficient staffs. guests are expected to take off their shoes before they walk into the clean lobby. desk top computers for guest use was a plus. this is a small hotel with a small staff in the back packing district, so it 's nothing fancy but still very decent for the money. you need to knock on the door when you get home late at night.
