I would not stay here again - overall, the hotel was average, but many things irked me during the stay; including the loud noises outdoors, mattress injuring my neck, no toilet paper in the bathroom (!), mosquitoes, horrible service such as not having bicycles and only crappy motorbike with no fuel, and the guy even forgot to give me back my passport upon checkout!! I have stayed at this hotel 4 times over the past 2 years. It is a great value and the location is wonderful. It is basic, but has all the necessities and the staff is helpful. Across the street and left is a good bun cha place. If you like pho walk toward the Hanoi Club but go right and then follow road to the left. on the corner is great chicken pho for about1.50 with view of water, My son who lives in Hanoi eats here every day. Chicken street is about 7 minutes away. You must try this at night. It is outdoor barbecue chicken, potatoe, cucumber, beer, cha da. Several stalls of this. Last one on right is my favorite. Xem tiếp

Everything was great for the value except for the comfort of the bed-- the spring mattress was worn out (I could feel all of the wires) and thus uncomfortable. Also, the noise level is incredibly high. Earplugs are highly recommended. Xem tiếp

I have stayed at Gia Kim hotel twice when visiting my girlfriend, and the staff has been very accommodating in many ways. They provide me with an iron, adaptor, daily cleaning, fresh towels. The location is good as it is a very close walk to the lake and some nice cafes, and plenty of local food on their street. It is also a very short ride or longer walk to Tay Ho,downtown, and the old quarter. The Staff will go out of their way to provide dishes and utensils for outside food. The downsides are the noise (but hanoi is noisy almost everywhere) and some of the mattresses need replaced as they are a bit hard with the coils. Overall, for the value, I recommend Gia Kim Hotel. Had a great stay at Gia Kim, just a few minutes ride to the Old Quarter, clean hotel, with friendly and helpful staffs that even helps you get a reliable taxi and even accompanies you in crossing the street crowded with non-stop motorbikes that is usual in Hanoi streets. Xem tiếp

Staff was very friendly. Location is good but not easy to identify between the shops. Should put up a more noticeable sign. But its opp sofitel which costs much more and you can get around easily from there. Walk to the lake. Short taxi ride to buy stuff and sight seeing. Room is only good to shower and sleep, no space to move around. Bed and pillow was new and bouncy not what i like. overall stay for 2 nights was good. had wifi though not great strength but then again in vietnam you get wifi everywhere passwodds are on receipts. (+) nettes, bemühtes Personal (+) Lage im Bezirk gut, Altstadt in ca 10min zu erreichen, Flughafen bei mäßigem Verkehr in ca 30min (+) grds. nette Aufmachung des Zimmers (-) Zimmer noch ok sauber, das Bad ging aber leider gar nicht - Spiegel, Amaturen, Boden.. Alles bräuchte mal wieder eine Grundreinigung. Hat wohl sehr lange kein richtiges Putzmittel gesehen. Der Preis von ca. 18€/Nacht hat uns für einen kurzen Aufenthalt darüber wegsehen lassen. Schade - würde malnordenrlich geputzt werden, definitiv ein empfehlenswertes, günstiges Hotel. Xem tiếp
