Jenny from the hotel helped us from the get go. She also recommended a great lunch place nearby the hotel. She helped us booked the halong package tour as well as confirmed the timings of the circus performances during the dec period. When we had a late night flight out, she also helped arrange a late checkout. Great job Jenny! Xem tiếp

Very good hotel, newly renovated, clean and comes with free breakfast. Room are big and it had everything i need. The location is also good enough and close to the cathedral. I will recommend Gem Hotel to whoever come to Hanoi. Xem tiếp

One of the most impressive hotel we have stayed in.The staff headed by the receptionist Jenny gave us a very warm and friendly welcome.The hotel is located 10 minutes walk from.the Lake , Old Town and shopping streets.We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms and the dining area...Food menu was above expectation serving Vietnamese,Asian and European food.Breakfast is a highlite of the day.The staff responded to all our needs and extremely helpful to make our stay in Hanoi a remarkable one. Jenny arranged our tours and provided us with all the information to make our tour a happy one.. We are very fortunate to have selected this hotel and had the opportunity to learn more about the Vietnamese culture from the Staff. We commend Jenny on her professionalism and good customer relations ability to make our visit an exciting and comfortable stay. Xem tiếp

I have stayed in better 3stars hotels in hanoi and this is the worst. Didnt had towels or toilet papers on my first day. Door looked like it was broken into and slightly more ajar than the rest. Asked for a change of room but was denied of the privilege. Lobby was warm - no aircon, breakfast was horrible and cat loitered in the area. - no hygiene at all! And this place is 10 mins walk from the most happening area. There are definitely better places to stay in! Xem tiếp

We scoured the internet for something modern, cool and great location. We got all 3 plus Jenny. This hotel is a stones throw away from the St Joseph’s cathedral and countless interesting places to eat and shop. Each morning we were treated to delicious assorted breakfast items and I recommend you try as many as possible. The handmade rice paper rolls were outstanding. The entire staff was cheerful and welcoming but I couldn’t start each morning or night without direction or sass from our gal pal Jenny. She’s truly a Ha Noi treasure and if I lived here I would be honored to call her my friend. Check in and then checkout all this amazing hotel offers. Lake , Xem tiếp

Great and helpful staff who carry you cases down the small street that cars are not allowed. Breakfast reasonable, veitnamese option really nice. We left for 2 days and allowed us to leave a cases on our return for 3 hours very kind and professional to reception and bell boys thank you all for a lovely stay Xem tiếp

Hotel is located in the old town next to the Cathedral. The staff had all the information at hands and were extremelly helpfull. We lft some of our luggages in the hotel while we spent two days in Halong bay. Hotel staff organised for taxi for us. Those taxis were reliable with meters working. Note that we experienced a taxi with a corrupted meter (we ended up negotiating the price direct with the driver), All in all very good experience. Xem tiếp

Hotel not connected to the road, so guests have to walk along the uneven pathway in with their luggage. No ramp leading to lobby, carry up the staircase. Breakfast is cooked upon ordering, small dining area, food is ok. Picture of the lobby is misleading too. Xem tiếp

Although the accomodation was basic it completely suited our needs. Located in a great part of the old quater it made us feel like we were right in it all. The rooms were smaller than what we thought but for the amount of time we spent there it really wasn't a problem. Hotel has been totally renovated, so expect the new and clean place. Rooms are very ok, with a clean and spacious bathrooms. However - the rooms are not that spacious like it seems on presented photos. Be carefull if you reserve 'an apartaments' highlighted as with double AND single beds - it would be infact one OR other option. Also if you have reserved the room with a 'garden view' please be warned, that it would be in fact internal window with a staircase view (?). Overall the rooms and the whole hotel is a good value for money. The customer service (especially the lady manager) was over the expectations :> Xem tiếp

We stayed for 2 nights either side of a trip to Halong Bay trip. The staff at the hotel excellent in helping recommend restaurants and spas and contacting hotels in the next destination for us to. The room upgrade was much appreciated. The only small criticism was for the bathtub in the room which although lovely needed a shower curtain to prevent flooding. Xem tiếp

Staff of front desk speak fluent English, friendly & very helpful. Enthusiastic in providing useful information on touring and tasty food. The hotel is situated in a small lane of the old quarter. Quiet, safe, a 5-minute leisure walk to the Catholic Church. Very convenient to access to the Night Market and other scenic spots. The hotel completed renovation in August. Our rooms are clean and cozy. The breakfast is semi-buffet style plus all-you-can-eat order from the menu. Food is fresh and good taste. This place is also known as "Hanoi Gem Hotel" on some portals. Very friendly and helpful staff always available for a chat or for advice. They also have a travel agency but are not at all pushy offering their services like I heard from other places. Clean rooms, some a bit small but overall quite nice for the price they offer. In my pov the biggest advantage compared to other places is that it is really quite! There is no traffic as the Hotel is within a small walking street. That means no annoying honking and also no chicken waking you up way before dawn. The lake is within walking distance and in the walking street you find anything you need. The main party street is a 10 min walk away. Breakfast was included and was very good, there is a small buffet but you can order from a large menu or just tell them what you want and things are made fresh for you. Xem tiếp

We originally booked for only one night and stayed for 3. We have a fourth night booked in 2 weeks time. Jenny runs a friendly and efficient service. Naturally enough, as a travel agent, she was wondering about our future trips in Vietnam but when we told her that most of our trips were already booked she just left it at that. This was greatly appreciated by us. Being our second trip to Vietnam I wanted to avoid all the pushy trip sellers. Thankfully jenny is not one of them. We booked trips to perfume pagoda and Cat Ba from her. We also left our luggage in the hotel while in transit in Hanoi waiting for our night train to Hue. Our room (302) was, for the price, was correct. Fairly clean in comparison with other hotels at the same price. We had a window in the room which looked onto a stairwell. There was enough natural light coming through to not make it feel like a prison. Also a quiet room.. I would not hesitate to recommend Hanoi Gem to friends and family. Xem tiếp

I know its a budget place and we only stayed a night but we transition between these types of accomodation and 4 star hotels. From check in the management was full on sales pitch selling tours, he was helpful in giving us a map and showing us the hotspots. The room was very old and smelled of mould, I would hate to have slept in this place during their rainy season, our door wouldn't shut properly and there was no acknowlegement there was an issue. The breakfast was very good with a good range and they would quickly made more food when we arrived. Staff could be friendlier but I don't really mind that as long as they do their job. Its not 9 out of 10 but it is a budget hotel and in that regard there is no complaint. Xem tiếp

Plus: the staff is talkativ and service oriented. I booked a 3 days Halong Bay tour with the hotel and became good advice in advance. The breakfast - a mix of a la carte and buffet - is nice. The rooms are nice equiped with luxury showers. They have different room-choices. Luxury rooms with big windows and standard rooms with inside windows for 35/28$ incl. breakfast. Minus: nothing.
