Our room for 2 is big and spacious. The receptionists were all helpful and nice. The shower is a bit broken in our room 1D so kindly fix that. Location is near the backpacker's area but not really in the heart of backpacker's area where you will hear all the party sounds at night. We booked our Mekong delta tour in the hotel for convenience. You can book a lot of tours there actually. You can also book taxi to airport if you want. So will recommend this place. Xem tiếp

my friend and i had a challenge in getting to the hotel as we cannot pronounce the street :) so if you mention "Elegant Inn" to the cab driver or other peeps there, they would not understand so bring along a map with you or anything that would show it address :) but we did not have any issue/s with the hotel -- yeah, it's not a first class hotel but it is situated in an area where everything is near -- and what i love even more is that the staff are friendly esp the cute girl who can speak english, upgraded our room and pro active. they booked us the half day cu chi tunnel tour and a cab going to the airport -- hassle free indeed! if there's anything I wanted to call out -- it's just the AC in our room -- maybe needs a little repair or replace with a new one as it doesn't get that cold but it was fine then because we were able to sleep anyway :) Xem tiếp

I will say that the location is perfect, within 2 minutes from the center of backpackers' and night entertainment street. The room was also upgraded to the bigger one, very spacious. I also like the rooftop bar where I can smoke anytime. What is lacking I would say that the tours provided aren't very suitable for solo travelers, there's no breakfast for people stay in rooms with promotion and staffs can't really speak English. However, the staff named Eddy speaks good English, very prompt and responsive. Good deal! Xem tiếp

rate is cheap so keep expectations low. This is truly a backpacker joint. They r obviously mentioned in Lonely Planet, and therefore business is brisk, if I knew this b4 I would not have been staying there as such places usually offer poor value. the rooms are basic but clean. Due to its location at the end of the Backpacker's strip, there is little to no chance to escape the noises. Noise came from outside, pumping beats from nearby Club til the wee hrs, dogs barking, ppl yelling and shouting all night. thin walls. other guests noisy til morning. rooms facing the street must be worst, mine was an interior room with no real daylight, window just facing a well. As the rate is low, such thing probably has to be accepted. The breakfast sold on the 4th floor makeshift Resto was actually quite nice. Did not like that they work together with bad Bus companies (Sorya) and rip-off Taxis. Only use Vinasun and nothing else. Xem tiếp

Our overall stay at Elegant Inn was very pleasant. The staff were very friendly and helpful - they provided good guidance as to which attractions to see first and how to arrange our tours. The room was also comfortable and spacious! The only issue we faced was with the airport drop-off. The car didn't come on the arranged time to pick us up from the hotel, so we needed to arrange a taxi. However, the taxi ride was paid for by the hotel, and we also received partial refund of the drop-off fee. Xem tiếp

The Elegant Inn is located where most backpacker hotels and guesthouses are. Its location is very good because once you step outside you can go to a convenience store, a bakery, lots of little restaurants, and even a nearby club. Taxis pass by so it's easy to get one. Elegant Inn is a small building of five floors. Good thing it has an elevator, but the elevator is a bit small so if you have luggage, it may only fit 2-3 people with luggage. The room is alright. It has coffee and tea-making facilities. However, I would recommend not using their electric pot. When we used ours, we discovered that it had rust in it. We didn't bother asking the staff to change it since there are a lot of coffee and tea places in Vietnam. Apart from this, the room is spacious enough, and linens and towels are changed on a daily basis. The staff are very helpful and welcoming. They always offer to carry your bags, asks how your tour was, etc. They can also set you up tours outside of Ho Chi Minh. Note that almost all guesthouses and hotels in Ho Chi Minh ask for your passport and holds it in their care for the duration of your stay. I think this is a policy in Vietnam. Xem tiếp

Pros: - Extremely helpful and friendly staff. - Hot shower was hot and powerful - I dwelled in the bliss of showering. - Equipment in room worked well. Con: - I was shocked to find that the kettle I used was rusty inside. When I asked them to replace it, they replaced it with a cheap plastic kettle, which did not seem to be able to stand that much heat, and gave a plasticky smell when I used it to boil water. - Central location, but on a far end of Pham Ngu Lau area. - Next to a night club.
