The small street paralleling St. Joseph's Cathedral is rife with local color. Denizens of the area come and go amid a growing number of trendy spots like craft beer brewers, massage rooms, cozy cafes of various descriptions, and surplus clothing outlets. My family and I had a great holiday here exploring Hanoi - mostly by foot - and soaking up the vibe of modern Vietnamese ambiance. The hotel itself has been refurbished in the last few years. We had suites on the 4th and 5th stories which involved some steps but was worth the effort once we viewed the cathedral from the large verandah and luxuriated in a very spacious room. Breakfasts in the airy cafe downstairs were delicious. the big window overlooking the busy street was a joy to sit by and chat. For souvenirs with authenticity, visit the Traditional Vietnamese Paper shop across the street. Staffers, Lee and Yew deserve special mention. they added warmth and cheer to our stay. Xem tiếp

We were robbed in the night by someone who came through a window that didn’t lock properly. They only took cash. Could have been way worse. Staff was great and paid our taxi to the airport and they will probably fix the problem pronto. But use the safe. Other than that room was top notch. Breakfast terrible. you def get what you pay for. not cheap but the room is very nice. the bath tub was great after a long day. clean and modern feel. the only thing is that its on the higher end in terms of price compared to the next door hotels down the same street. Xem tiếp

I have stayed in Cinnamon Cathedral several times and would probably come back. I like the price and the location. There is a small restaurant with a limited menu but there are lots of restaurants and coffee shops nearby. This time I was in Room 202 which was rather noisy - higher up is better although there is no elevator. Bear in mind that taxis often have a hard time finding it as it is on a one way street. Cinnamon Cathedral Everything was great. From comfortable beds, good shower, central location, tasty breakfast, and caring polite staff, you can’t go wrong staying at this hotel. Note: There is no elevator. Staff will carry your luggage but if your health prohibits climbing stairs beware. Would return and highly recommend. Xem tiếp

We stayed two nights, and picked out this hotel after seeing it on a previous visit to Hanoi. It is in a quiet street next to the Cathedral and is an interesting area to watch the street activity. The hotel has a nice cafe/breakfast restaurant that opens onto a back street with a few local vendors. Rooms are a good size for this standard of hotel, with decent bathrooms. (but mind you don't bang your head on the bedside lights, like I did every ten minutes). The front desk staff were very helpful - if you need a taxi ask them to book Grab for you. Xem tiếp

Gorgeous rooms. The staff are very caring and helped us for a latenight/early morning checkin. There are many caring small details about this hotel that make it special. Hand written greetings, bedtime stories every night given to us by reception and there is everything you need in the room. Beautiful bathrooms. We booked two rooms for a family group and both were excellent. The location is also the best, interesting area and you can use the cathedral as a point to get picked up and dropped off if you can't remember the address. I would stay here again. Xem tiếp

Great sized rooms and mine had a nice balcony overlooking the Cathedral. Dependable hot shower any time of day. Towels are very hard and feel more like after-shower exfoliation rather than drying material. A common issue in VN however. Excellent breakfast built into the price. For a family it was well worth it too! Choice of local or Western style. Fabulous coffee is to die for. Also own a little food place down the road where you can get the most scrumptious VN savoury rice-flour rolls. You MUST. All in all very satisfactory and located near to good bars, shopping streets and my FAVOURITE restaurant in VN... Porte D'Annam where if you can order Ocean Soup. Seriously UN-MISSABLE. I've stayed many times in VN and Cinnamon Cathedral is one of those little hotels I don't hesitate recommending. Xem tiếp

We had a great stay at the Cinnamon Cathedral our final two nights in Vietnam. We booked a room about an hour before checking in. Tina and her crew were very welcoming and helpful, upgrading us for the first night and discounting our upgrade the second night. Tina arranged airport transfer, answered our questions, got to know us, and was generally omnipresent to help us however we needed. The location is perfect: very close to the Old Quarter, but down a quieter lane behind the Cathedral a few blocks away from the heart of the action. Facilities are very spacious, comfortable, and smart (we had a deluxe double room, with one king and one twin). [minor] Downsides: The soap and shampoo were presented in little ceramic pots. They looked cute and I'm sure they're more efficient for the hotel, but they were annoying to handle. Breakfast was ok, but service in the breakfast room was slow and inconsistent. You may be better off finding breakfast in the street--you're in central Hanoi! Xem tiếp

I have a wonderful stay here and was upgraded to a large room overlooking the cathedral. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. It was very clean and the breakfast was substantial. Very conveniently located. I could not hear the church bells. I had a lovely large bathroom and bath tub. The aircon and fan worked well. The bed was comfy.
