No, you do not get a luxurious accomodation for that price but a clean room close to the Cat Ba Pier and all you need to enjoy your stay. Moreover, you get the most caring hotelier on Cat Ba Island. He makes a delicious breakfast all by himself every morning and if you want to book anything, e.g. your next tour or your transfer to the next city, he's the man you want to ask. The room was covered by mold. It makes me got kind of allergic. Breakfast really small. The bathroom is small and you have to ask to get hot water... and it's available only for few minutes. Xem tiếp

The twin bedroom is pretty small and humid. One matress was really hard (even for Vietnamese standards) and the other one was pretty comfortable. The host was really friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was small and with no option to choose the food nor the drink . For the money you pay... It's good. But there are better accommodation deals in Cat Ba island (with better facilities for the same price and even cheaper). We changed hostels and we like it more here. Xem tiếp

As in most windowless places in Vietnam, room had strong mold smell. Harsh lighting and water pipes made sound throughout night. Host was friendly and helpful, but sent us to a place for petrol where the woman ripped us off. (Put in 1/2 liter before we agreed to price, demanded 150k dong, tried to take our motorbike key when refusing to pay... Go to the station!! Not a random person.) Xem tiếp

Wow, a double room here for a night, is cheaper than most hostels in a shared dorm. For the price, the room is basic but great if you just want some space to yourself. Staff is super friendly, location is great and in a quiet area but still close to everything. After backpacking around Asia solo for 1.5 months, I was able to afford 3 nights here for such a great price. The hostel manager/owner was super nice, always helpful and smiling. I didn’t take advantage of the brekky as much as I should have, but the price includes brekky as well! Brekky is average. If you are travelling solo and need a break, seriously book here!!! Xem tiếp

Very happy with my stay in Cat Ba Life Hostel. A new hostel opened only in December 2019. The rooms were clean and spacious with private bathroom. The bed sheets, pillow covers, towels everything was quite clean. And whenever I needed a new one I could just ask for it and get it. It is quite centrally located in the Cat ba town walking distance from the harbour, beaches, all the good eateries Yummys 1 & 2, Casa Bonita, Little leaf, Napolis, Buddha Belly etc. It is located in a peaceful alley so I always got good sleep here. All this was for unbelievably cheap price 4$/night. Henry (Hieu) the manager, is a very warm and welcoming man. Always smiling. He is always keen to help with what to do around on the island, where to buy things, where to eat etc. He also organized the boat tour for me and my friend at a very cheap price. You could do all your tour and travel bookings at the hostel. Highly recommended. Xem tiếp

The bathroom was full of hair and they forgot to put on the hot water. The woman in the reception can’t speak English at all and got very angry cause we couldn’t communicate. Which is not a problem but she got mad Xem tiếp

I loved cat ba life hostel!! The receptionist was so nice and kind , he was always there when we needed him and he also prepared some banana pancake special for us!! Everything was very close and very clean!! The cleaned our room and left us a hairdryer as well! We will definitely recommend it!! Big huges Xem tiếp

It is not only definitely clean rooms, reasonable priced but also responsible and friendly staffs. The Cat Ba Life Hostel is also near to main habour which means I can participate in variety of activities overnight. I highly recommend staying here.. Xem tiếp
