Mr Zoom's a great charming guy, his hostel and tours however were less than perfect. The final morning we were greeted by the maintenance man, who decided that while we were sleeping was a great opportunity to replace our shower. I have no idea why. The tours- we only did one but were overcharged about 3USD each as they sent us on the wrong one. The room was cold but adequate, hot water was mostly absent. Proceed with caution Xem tiếp

Stayed here for 3 nights, the rooms were clean and tidey, Rooms remade every day with fresh towels and endless coffee. Owner is very kind and welcoming, speaks good english and i felt he went out of his way to make everything perfect. Very happy. We looked around the island for all the tours avalible, ended up going with the kayaking tour advertised. It was the highlight of our trip. We even saw the endangoured monkey. Xem tiếp

I would definitely recommend booking any tours through 'Mr zoom' at the tour desk adjoining this hotel. Great value and amazing. Good for booking buses too. But I can't recommend to stay here: 3 minutes of hot water then pure cold, not enough blankets, no aircon/heat (cold at nights in winter), bad musty smell in the room, WiFi did not work, were told breakfast was included but then told it wasn't halfway through our stay, we stayed 4 nights and the manager acted like he had never met us every day. The hotel was cheap with good services. Moreover, the organised tours were excellent. The activities were great and the food was good. I couldn't ask for more. Email Mr Zoom and you might get a cheaper price compared to what was displayed on the net. It depends on the number of people on the tour. One thing that I must mentioned is that Mr Zoom was so kind that he offered us 200,000 VND for breakfast when we ran out of local currency. I was utterly surprised. He is such a great person that he is always ready to offered help to anyone who needs it. Definitely will come back to Cat Ba Island again and stay in this hotel. Xem tiếp

We spend 2 nights in the Climbing Hotel. Our overall experience was positive. The room was cheap, but big. We got a simple but free breakfast, even if it wasn't included in the price. We bought a day-tour (20 USD per person) organized by the hotel and it was cool! I would definitely go again with Mr.Zoom. The only negative thing is that there are few bars/clubs on the same street and one night the music was very loud till 1 AM!! If you need a good night's sleep, maybe this is not the best place to stay. Xem tiếp

I booked just one night through AGODA but I stayed one more day. room was so clean,comfortable,also good price, there is also the sea view bar on top you will go there anytime you want (amazing one day boat tour booked in the hotel)staffs are very friendly,helpful.perfect english speaking.I strongly recommend this hotel. Personne à la réception à mon arrivée. J'ai dû aller les chercher à la porte d'à côté. Le personnel absent pendant mon séjour de 2 jours. La chambre n'a pas été nettoyée. Lo único bueno es la ubicación. La insonorización de la habitación es malísima, las ventanas no tienen cristales sólo puertas y parece que el tráfico y la gente está dentro de la habitación (estábamos en un 3er piso) Las camas y almohadas son un potro de tortura. El desayuno muy pobre, sólo nos daban a elegir entre te/café y un huevo con pan. Las toallas y el papel solo lo reponen si se lo pides. Xem tiếp
